我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Whilst camping close to a water hole in the Namib desert (Namibia) we heard a noise in the middle of the night. We were with a very experienced guide who thought it was the sound of elephants tusks contacting each other. We crept to the waters edge and saw that it was two bull elephants playing around on the other side of the water. The guide motioned for us to follow him and we went into the water submerging ourselves up to our noses in the water (largely masking our scent) and we slowly moved through the water closer towards them. We watched them for a safe distance for a long while and its an experience that will forever stick with me!
