Overview
About Me
Grew up in The Netherlands and France, worked in Italy and travelled around the globe for studies and work. I love to discover new places, especially when I can learn more about (the many good sides of) people around the world. I decided a few years back to eat meat once a week, and become an almost vegetarian.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet new people, either here or while I'm travelling abroad. Several friends told me this is a great opportunity to meet interesting folks who are equally interested in meeting you.
Interests
I like drawing, dancing (salsa, tango, anything else), making music (piano, in a group). I used to do capoeira and still like to play around a bit on the beach.
As for sports, I often go for a run in the parcs, dunes or on the beach, and I've recently picked up swimming again.
Professionally (and also personally) I'm interested in sustainability as well as circular economy thinking and doing.

Music, Movies, and Books
From classic to rock, and from latin to house, depending on my mood. A song that always makes me happy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLofl6xtgoM&list=PL95792E2A11FCBBA7.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be happy to learn more about your personal interests, your travel experiences, new languages, new habits, ideas for a sustainable world, play music (I have a digital piano and am building a cajon).
If you can help me discover your city or region, the cool spots that only locals know about, great tango salons, nature, or if you can teach me about (ecological) agriculture, horse riding - I would be super happy!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd be happy to show you around in The Hague, Amsterdam or the 'Randstad' area in general. The parks, beaches and dunes of The Hague are great, especially in (sunny) summer. It's easy to hire a bike and get around anywhere.
There's also a cool tango scene in this area that I could introduce you to. The same is true for salsa/merengue/bachata.
I work in Amsterdam, a city with great place to hang out, go to concerts etc.
