About Me

Hi!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Where do I even start? I have been struggling with ansswering these questions for the last ten years when people started using them as introduction activities. Well let's start with favorite books. I definitely don't have just one, I really like "Dune" by Frank Herbert, the "Ender's Game " series by Orson Scott Card, "Harry Potter" was pretty great, and I like Stephen King when I am interested in scaring myself out of sleeping. Favorite music is just a lost cause, like I like a lot of different music and I definitely don't have any favorites. So far I think my favorite movie experience was watching an old black and white silent film by Buster Keaton in Berlin a couple months ago. The movie was hilarious and there was someone playing a special effects organ which made it even more interesting and felt like I was watching the movie when it came out, just without a suit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I always feel like I never have a good enough answer for this one but I will go for it anyway. Probably the most amazing thing I have done, and by amazing I mean that it always makes me smile when I think about it, is having dinner with my parents at the Hobräuhaus in Munich. Obviously this doesn't sound that exciting but hear me out. It was at the end of my study abroad in Germany and we were travelling around Southern Germany for a week. When we arrived in Munich I told them that we had to go to the Hobräuhaus for dinner and off we went. We sat down at a table with three other guys and my dad and I ordered a liter of beer each which is always a good start to the evening. We then proceeded to spend 3 hours getting to know these guys and drinking. I had another Schweinsaxe which was great and two liters of beer total that night. Plus the three guys we sat with asked if I wanted to go out drinking with them but I decided that sleeping was a great idea. Overall, it was definitely 11/10 experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to make bake cookies, brownies, and cook some of my all time favorite american comfort foods and I love sharing. I also really enjoy backpacking and camping and know a lot about both.
