I'm a writer and performer from the UK. I mostly work in poetry, theatre, radio and short film. I did a lot of travelling when I was younger but when I graduated from drama school and started working I felt like I had to stay pretty rooted in the UK, to be 'available' in case something came up. Which of course it seldom did! So now I am freeing myself up again and rediscovering that travel bug I know I have. Because, ironically, how can you write about what it is to be a human alive in the world unless you have seen something of life and the world...

CURRENT MISSION

My housemate and I are interrailing around Europe from Jan - Feb 2020, keen to explore widely and to celebrate Europe and all things European (just as the UK leaves the EU 💔).

It's a fantastic way to meet people, have interesting conversations, and get to know someone's home town through the eyes of a local.

I haven't couchsurfed since a fantastic week spent in Amsterdam back in 2012, but keen to return to it. Of course I have had lots of other informal couchsurfing experiences, outside of the app, before and since that!

At the moment I'm a surfer, but as soon as I have the provisions to host I will :)

兴趣

I'm a writer-performer with a broad interest spanning genres and media. Also a former international long-distance runner, and still run and play sport for pleasure, so I feel equally at home at a performance poetry evening, indie cinema, or watching football.
