I am from Alabama but moved to Georgia a couple of years ago. I am a bit of an introvert. I like to observe people first and then I loosen up a bit. I enjoy most anything vintage, antique, or something I feel I am getting a good deal on. I purchased my home a little over 6 months ago and have worked to restore its character. I'm still working on a few things. I am LGBT, religion, and politically friendly. Everyone has their own opinions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing hoping to host and enjoy meeting new people. I feel like I should open my home and get a few references first before I go looking for hosts on couchsurfing. At this time, I can only accept people with plenty of references. I can only host Friday-Sunday.

Interests

I enjoy woodwork, being outdoors (hiking, camping,kayaking), and listening to people's story. I am still working on a few projects for my house and love being a homeowner. I like to learn from others so I hope there is much you can teach me.

I don't restrict myself to any one genre. I love anything I can sing to but I mostly listen to alternative/indie. I like most all movies but enjoy SciFi and fantasy most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess this is one amazing thing I've survived. I came out of a car crash that should have killed me with only a busted knee. Somebody still wants me here.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer a calm suburbia weekend to just relax. I also have easy access to quite a few hiking and nature trails. Atlanta is 45 minutes away if you want to venture to the city. I am still exploring it myself so maybe we could try something that is new for both parties. I am generally knowledgeable about the history of the south and this area. I would like to learn more about motorcycles, woodwork, and leather work. I also genuinely want to learn about you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My home is more than large enough for me and a few visitors. I have a spare bedroom that would be your space. I do already share my house with a friendly Siberian Husky named Zeik. There is no real public transportation here so I would really only be available to individuals with their own vehicle. I understand most would just be passing through and that is perfectly fine!
