ABOUT ME

I live in a shared house in Trafford, near to the Utd footballo stadium. When I'm not working at a secondary school I spend a lot of my time working on various political projects. If you're into anticapitalist politics it would be cool to hear from you and I can show you that side of the city.

As well as working on political projects I'm trying to get my act together to get a PhD and have been researching and writing various articles which have been published in a variety of places.

Alongside these rather wholesome interests :P I also like playing football (and watching FC utd!) and really enjoy electronic music. I'm part of a group that owns a small sound system and sometimes DJ at our parties in peoples houses, bars or (if you're lucky to be here then) outdoors in the hills nearby. I'd love to meet people to go out and dance to music (I particularly like techno, house, dubstep, jungle, juke and hip-hop) with.

All of this doesn't really capture much about who I am but we can leave it at this for now :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm usually very busy but want to host more people. Give me a shout! I'm a lot more likely to be able to host political types, or people I share football and music interests with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent the summer couch surfing across the states and it was incredible. I think I caught the bug! After this summer I'm looking forward to hosting, it seems like a very different experience but one I'm looking forward to.

Music: Old UK Garage, new techno, dubstep, reggae, some things with plinky plonky instruments, most things without. I sometimes dream about computer driven night clubs with no DJ's just machines...

Movies: Kurosawa movies, No Country For Old Men, Lost in Translation, Haneke movies, Godard movies (sometimes). The Wire :P I love cinema!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done lots of interesting things but often the most amazing experiences and emotions, when put down in words, seem too mundane to do them justice.
