About Me

**Hiya! Before I go into my bio, I thought I’d acknowledge my lack of references and people that I’ve hosted, especially because I understand these things are a bit of a red flag for hosts. I only recently moved out of my parents’ house, and none of the people I’ve lived with so far have been cool with me hosting surfers. (However, my current living situation may be amenable—send me a message!) I haven’t traveled internationally by myself before, so I’ve never surfed before, either. I do realize that a good way to get references without surfing is to go to local meetups, however I am much too shy and awkward in large groups. Hopefully this cleared up some things... I would be more than happy to chat further! Thank you~*

CURRENT MISSION To get out of my comfort zone and explore, travel as much as I can.

ABOUT ME I've been told I'm soft-spoken and introspective. Extremely passionate about music. Kind, quiet, empathetic.

PHILOSOPHY Hmmm I would say treat everyone with kindness and empathy and understand you can never understand what another person’s been through (with the disclaimer that I tend to lean too far to the extreme on this and so tend to get conned by people a lot 😅) Also, the middle ground is everything, and always—Always— punch a fascist

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get out in the world and meet folx!

**Okay, in hindsight, I feel like claiming this is ~somewhat~ dishonest. I do enjoy meeting people! But it’s totally okay if we don’t spend time together, either. (But then that raises the question of whether I’m using this primarily for free accommodation, to which I’d answer, it would also be dishonest to say I’m *not* looking forward to possibly saving money on lodging and being able to use it for going out for food/drinks instead :) Let’s just leave it as “I’d love to hang out with you, but if you can’t, it’s still a free couch, so I can’t complain.”

As far as hosting people myself, I’d love to show folks around my favorite spots :’) There is something less anxiety-inducing about the host perspective than that of the surfer, strangely enough
