To see the world, meet many people, and have no regrets :]
Hello, I am Ben.
Currently attending university with a double major and a triple minor- if that wasn't masochistic enough, I am also working four jobs! ha ha
I really don't know what else to say about myself! I love all music- except rap music... So I guess I don't love all music. But then again- rap isn't music :P so yeah- I love all music!
Upon graduation I hope to work internationally as there is nothing more I love than culture and meeting people from other parts of the world!
I personally feel like I am easy to talk to- I am shy at first but when we become friends, trust me, I wont ever shut up. I mean EVER.
Movies. Music. Video Games. General stuff.
I am also writing a book series right now called "Into the Gates" I have spent four and a half years planning it and am beginning to write! I have three interested publishers so wish me luck :D
I feel like not enough people in the world today are interestd in learning about other cultures. I live to help others realize how big the world really is and to open the minds of others to want to experience it as well.
Life isn't too short- it's long enough for you to do something with so do it :]
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to participate by not only expanding my views on the world- but by helping others expand theirs. With every person you meet you get to learn about them, their beliefs, and their culture.
If you are ever in Chicago let me know! I am but a train ride away and look for any excuse to go! I could show you great restaurants and cool museums!
If I had a couch to give I would gladly give it! However, I live in Lowell, Indiana- which is a town in the middle of a corn field... unless you're a Corn Whisperer- there isn't much here. Chicago is a good hour away?
While I have not stayed anywhere I have met a few members in Chicago and really enjoyed showing them around the city! I am ashamed of my lack of experience...
I love tennis, art, movies, jogging, sight-seeing, linguistics, reading, school, travel, piano, sewing, gardening, writing, cooking, and tons of other quite diverse interests!
Music, Movies, and Books
My interest in movies and literature veries quite a bit. From sci-fi to romance to horror to comedy. If the movie or book is good then I like it!
But I prefer horror...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have no children of my own but I have a total of 8 nephews and nieces who are all a big part of my life. It has been one big amazing journey and adventure to watch them grow and become such wonderful children.
The youngest has just turned nine! And while it is amazing to have been there when here was born I begin to realize... wow... I'm getting old... :]
In my life I have also lost 110 pounds. I used to weigh well over 300 and then one day woke up and saw what I was doing to myself. I am still fighting the battle to gain control over my body but I can tell you that losing weight is beyond physical- in fact I feel like its a good 80% psychological. My transformation has been a long, hard one, but I have learned to love myself so much more and find myself loving and appreciating life just a little bit more as well :]
