Although it seems as if we are complete newbies in the CS community, we've already made quite a lot of experiences in couchsurfing our way around the world and too by hosting people in Vienna.

So who are we?

We are both living quite actively and have a broad range of interests - from sports, to culture, music, travelling, food and (good) films. Whenever time allows, we like to surround ourselves with friends and spend time together, as happiness is only real when shared ;)

Ben is an open-minded person who always tries to see the best in others. He is an extremely good listener, however also keen to share his stories and ideas. He's great fun to be around - except for mornings - but we're working on that ;) He likes to make thorough plans, only to spontaneously change them later :D

Anja is extremly lovely, funny and full of energy. She can be quite talkative, but also enjoys to listen to and learn from others. She's enthusiastic and her lust for life is infectious :)

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

In our opinion we can learn a lot from each other, because everyone has a different perception of the world we live in and it is really important to get to know other views, respect them and in the best case let them influence you and enlarge your limited view of the world. So we think Couchsurfing is the best way to break down prejudices and enlarge one’s personal horizon by getting to know people from around the world. What we also love about CS is the corporate feeling and that everyone tries to help each other. Humans are far too self-centered and the world would be a better place if we could all think in a more collective way :)

We think that each and everyone of us can contribute towards a change in the world, and Couchsurfing is a very good start! Letting people you barely know beforehand into your flat and welcome them with open arms - that's why we like the CS community so much! If everyone would be that open-minded, warm-hearted and tolerant the world would be a better place!
Couchsurfing for us does not only represent the best way of travelling, but also somehow a way of living :)

- lived and travelled through Australia for six months
- explored a cave in the North of NZ completely on our own, guided by the lights of millions of fireflies
- Tandem bungee jump from 96 metres
- travelled through Canada in 2015 - completely via Couchsurfing!!
- canyoning in Montenegro
- bathed elephants in Chiang Mai
- dived to a ship wreck of WWII at 30 metres of depth
- survived the crazy streets of Saigon on motorbikes

- as we are teachers, we're always very fond of tips with educational value..can be some more information on a subject matter, or more importantly, ideas on how to bring out the best in every child, increase their self-esteem and support them on their way of finding themselves/creating themselves (still not sure whether it is the one or the other) ;)
