About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel Australia and other places, meeting new people, learning new skills and poking many deadly animals with sticks
ABOUT ME
Well my names Ben, well it's Oliver but everyone calls me Ben. Don't ask, long story.
PHILOSOPHY
You live your life for the experiences, was worried about getting sucked into the rat race so thought why not go to the otherside of the world. Always figured if I get to the end of my life and I can't ever look back and think, jesus that was a bad idea, or definately not doing that again then I didn't do enough with myself. Essentially if you regret nothing, then you've not lived.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to the whole couchsurfing business, been a hostel man till now. Altho I've wound up on my own couch a few times because the cats stolen my bed. Or my mates couches because that 15 minutes bus journey, followed by a 2 minute walk down a road with a mild incline was just too much hassle.
Interests
Love music, especially live music. Play piano and guitar and listen to a variety.
Also a big fan of football, European football or as the ozzies call it soccer.
Take a keen interest in politics and history and is what I look forward to studying.
I like cats, fat cats in particular, they amuse me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Films- Mixed batch, from psychological thrillers to romcoms.
Music- Oasis, The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Goo Goo Dolls, Smashing Pumpkins, Pulp, Plan B, Jamie T, New Order etc etc.
Play guitar and piano, sing poorly in an over-exagerated British accent and enjoy writing music.
Books- Factual, they can tell a story but it has to be relevant. Love 20th century historical and political books, as well as psychological books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Laid on a beach in the Caribbean at night. Never seen a sky like it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I don't have many practical skills, but I could teach you a little bit of guitar? Or I'm starting to learn flair-bartending, I could teach you how to thumbroll a Boston shaker?
Other than that I'm out.
