We (my husband and I) are traveling around the world since February 2014.
In order to meet people and to share their life, we are mixing 2 options :
• For "long" stays, we work in exchange for food and accommodation.
We did it in Canada, United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Venezuela and Argentina.
• For short stays, we try to find some "couchsurfing"... or we go to budget hotel.
We did it in Panama and Brazil.

We discovered couchsurfing in 2012. We were hosting in our house in France when we had one... Now, we are traveling!

We were hosting in our House in France when we had one, as often as possible (all our experiences do not appears on this site, I can't understand why).
