Overview
About Me
I'm a 19 year old, who has just finished high school from Kaunas, Lithuania. I'm always traveling on a tight budget and currently living with my parents, although pretty soon I will be moving up to the Hague to study Politics
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Cliché to say but I'm here to travel, meet interesting people and experience the culture first-hand. Personally, I can't really feel the vibe of a city or any place when I'm staying at a hotel. That's why I prefer to stay with my relatives or friends when I'm abroad, however, sometimes it is not possible so that's about being a hostee. When it comes to hosting my place, there is one thing to mention - I live with my parents but I sure would like to invite someone to stay over and have a nice stay and chat about anything.
Interests
I can play volleyball quite well and surely would like to play a game some time. We could watch football together, since it is one of my favorite things to do. I am also very open to other stuff, that you can offer me because I like to break away from my comfort zone.
- volleyball
- swimming
- sightseeing
- food
- football
- stargazing
- watching football
Music, Movies, and Books
I, actually, like most of the types of music. However, oddly most of the music I listen comes from UK. I mean it goes from Joy Division to Skepta haha. I like different kinds of books but lately I have got a little bit into politics, so my shelves are crowded by books about J.F.Kennedy, V.Lenin, V.Putin etc. And I really love dramas and documentaries. Especially if they're caught with a aesthetic flow by an amazing cinematographer.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have backpacked through middle Italy for a month
Teach, Learn, Share
I would want to break the stereotypes regarding the Eastern Europian countries and particularly Lithuania, since I've been living here since my birth and got to know of the whole history and backdrop of everything that is happening in my region and I'm excited to discuss and express my views regarding everything about the Baltic States or our relations with other nations. Of course, I am very open to listen about the things in the other side of the world, since I believe that hearing it from the people who actually get to experience it is way more trustable than media
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can crack You up with few lame jokes and a rather heated yet civilizated debate about pretty much anything.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Palestine, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom
