ABOUT ME

I was a self-employed Landscape Gardener back in England, but since coming to Perth I have fallen into a job running an office for a Home Services Company. I have always wanted to go travelling and think it's now or never. I am a polite, caring, confident guy and just want to make new friends, see new places - and get a decent tan!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS just before I came to Australia and have used it a couple of times. Having met some great people, I now hope to return the favour and host fun-loving travellers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with three great women in Brisbane on my first day in Australia. Had the best time. Hoping for more experiences like it

Interests

I play football, rugby and pool but follow many others. Beginning sailing lessons soon, I hope to help crew a yacht within a year. Comedy, travelling (obviously), making new friends, learning from others, having conversations about almost anything. Sustainability is very important to me. I am involved in a number of projects and ideas to save resources and improve community ties to the environment.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Almost anything. Rock, chillout, dance, some urban.
Books: Anything by Ian Rankin, Lord of the Rings, also non fiction like books about garden design or places of the world.
Movies: I mainly like comedy and action: Taken, The Hangover, Cool Runnings, Beverley Hills Cop 3, Ice Age

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving at Mission Beach. Oh My God, Insane!
Uluru - An amazing sight, I think I felt how Aboriginals must have felt when they first came across it. A sense of wonder and being over-awed by its size in a completely flat landscape.

Teach, Learn, Share

Who knows what I will find out or what I can teach people. But ask me a question and I will answer it as best I can. Couchsurfing is such a great idea, who knows what we all learn from it...
