About Me

Was born in Nigeria and moved to Maldives when I was 4. where I spent my childhood. By 2000, I moved to India and have been here since.

My hometown is Kanyakumari which is the southern most part of India. I lived there for 2 years while I did my higher secondary. I then spent 3 years in Trichy while I did my under grad, took a break from my education and spent a year in Parasala (Kerela). I then moved to Coimbatore and completed my post grad after which I spent an year in Bangalore while job hunted. Finally I got a job in Chennai and have been here since March 2011.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently developed the interest of visiting new places and meeting new people especially after I visited Thailand. I was supposed to return from Thailand on 2nd Dec 2015. But due to the floods in Chennai during that time and the ensuing closure of the Chennai airport, I (along with my friends) were stuck in Thailand for the next few days till we could return. Since we did not have too much money to spend, we decided to stay at a shared dorm. That was when we really got to meet people and realized how much fun it is. There I became friends with a girl from Germany who introduced me to Couchsurfing.

I plan to visit Europe this year (2016) in August. I'd like to experience the fullest extent of the local culture and cuisine of the countries I'm visiting. And the best way to experience this would be to stay with the locals.

I also hope to host visitors in my home in the near future (hopefully my mom is ok with that)

Interests

I'm kind of an artsy person. I love painting and sketching and have done a couple that I'm proud of. I also am an amateur designer. I design and make dresses (for women and kids right now, though I hope to expand my skills later on).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music though the genre depends on my mood (though I'm not that much of a fan of some death metal tracks where I've no idea what there's screaming about 8-|
I'm not much of a movie buff. But I do enjoy sci-fi movies (Esp the marvel and dc comics ones of late) and comedy. no reality kinda stuff for me (I've got enough reality around me -__-).
Books, well I must admit, once I start reading, I forget time and pretty much everything else, though I don't find much time to read as much as I would like to these days. The last big novel that I read was Da Brown's Inferno.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a lot of amazing things :P But one amazing place I've seen is Pamukkale, Turkey.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Neatness is never overrated. A neat and well kept home is always appreciated. Visitors are also comfortable when the place is neat. Of course visitors are also expected to be the same.

Countries I’ve Visited

Egypt, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Malaysia, Palestine, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

India, Maldives, Nigeria
