About Me
Hi!
First, sorry about the mistakes I could make!
I'm a 24y/o boy who's planning a journey (1 year at least) into Iceland : exploring the island (the fjords, volcanos, caldeirras, black sand beaches, cliffs, ... and the NORTHERN LIGHTS!!!), being immersed in the local culture (well, maybe except for the Súrsaðir hrútspungar ;) ), surviving in the (cold) wild with my tent and my sleeping bag, working wherever i could find a job (fishing, farming, gardening, housecleaning... whatever!)
I am a nice guy (a bit intimidating apparently, according to my friends, mostly because i'm 1m93 tall) who loves to laugh and talk ; I also love to meet people who come from afar and hear their stories.
My hobbies are writing, reading, learning new languages, History, and for a long time i used to play video games (which i chose to stop). I think my favourite thing in life is making up stories and debating why or why not a story (book, movie, viedo game, etc.) is good or bad. My second favourite thing is to walk among wild nature, or just stop somewhere and contemplate the landscape. Now i guess you get why i really want to go to Iceland ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because, as I said in the "About me" section, i love to meet people from afar (i don't dislike meeting my neighbours either but, you know, i'm kinda used to them so).
I decided to go on my journey alone, whithout knowing anyone where i plan to go ; but that doesn't mean i want to stay alone forever, missing so many opportunities. So I hope Couchsurfing will help me to meet people who live wherever I go, and that those people will introduce me to their way of living and to anything they are willing to share about their homeplace!
I won't be able to host people for a while (well except if you want to come in my tent?) but i hope that one day, I will be.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw whales and their calves off the coast of Noumea (which never happens, accordind to my Caledonian friend).
Also, once when i was 9, i locked up my younger brother into a plastic box, under the afternoon sun. He's still pissed about that :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
My sympathy, of course! To be more specific, I would say that i am very sociable : i talk as much as i listen to others ; and hosting me would be like hosting a bit of France in your home, wouldn't it? ;)
Of course, I would also contribute to the spendings that my presence would occur.
