My name is Benjamin and I am 26 years old half Dutch half German born and raised in the Netherlands. I am youngest of 5 children with 4 older sisters. Meeting new people and making new connections is what I love most in life. I believe every human being has a story to be shared.

I have a bachelors of business & administration but decided to become a kitchen chef to earn money for my trip around the world. My dream is to share a story and my goal is to spread the love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As of February 2017 I started a world trip. At the moment I am traveling through eastern Europe on my way to Moscow From Moscow I'll be taking the Trans-Mongolian Express to Bejing. In Bejing I am planning on doing a a kung fu course for a month. From that point my plans are still blank.

During this adventure I would love to meet people and make new connections. Couchsurfing is the perfect platform for that. During my studies my roommate always had Couchsurfers from all over the world and therefore know how cool this platform is.

Change is always possible, big or small, the key ingredient that needs to be there is WILLPOWER.

The freedom of choice is one of the greatest gifts in life.

Live in the moment: people always think that by living in the moment they don't take into account the future, and are therefore afraid to live in the moment. I believe by living in the moment you are more aware of your senses, state of being, and therefore better able to make the right sustainable decisions.

Don't be afraid
Off course everybody including myself is afraid at times. But if you can see reality as it really is and ask yourself what you actually are fearing you can often get a hold over your fears.

I love talking about philosophy and getting to know people's personal stories. I am happy to share my own story as well if you are offcourse interested. I am a kitchen-chef and have a passion for cooking . Therefore I am happy to cook a meal for my host and everybody else who wants to shuffle along.
