About Me
## Currently taking a break from hosting ##
Hi! I only welcome guests for 1 or 2 nights so I have my own time too.
My apartment is in a calm residential area of Lisbon (Campo de Ourique). It is 65sqm with 2 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms + 1 room I use as a home office. The tram 28 stops nearby and Uber/Bolt are cheap to go around. I am also 2min from a covered market with a dozen food stalls.
I grew up in France then lived abroad for over a decade (mostly China and Japan, but also US, HK, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Germany) and moved to Lisbon in April 2022. I work from home for a foreign company that invests in startups solving health and environmental problems, and live a fairly healthy lifestyle. I enjoy meeting people, and rarely drink or party.
House rules:
🤫 Be quiet before 8am and after midnight (the apartment is NOT sound proof + I am working from home on weekdays).
🚭 No smoking.
⌚ Be punctual (or communicate effectively). I have meetings and my own activities.
🍽️ You can use the kitchen.
🚮 Leave everything like you found it (or better 😉). This is not a hotel or AirBnb, it's my home!
❓Ask me anything.
If you message me, please write 'I read the house rules' somewhere to confirm you did 🙏
Note: comments before Feb 2023 refer to my previous apartment. My new apartment is smaller but more modern.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
More than one!
I visited North Korea before it was cool (if it ever was).
I fasted for 3 days with only water to see what happened. It was fine. It made me more relaxed about hunger.
I did a 10 days silent meditation retreat. I mostly thought about my past and present. Unpleasant but useful.
I hiked mount Fuji from the bottom, 3000m in 11 hours, until sunrise. Totally unprepared with slippery shoes. I couldn't stand up the next day.
I learned the 'scent of a woman' tango routine in a week for a friend's birthday.
