I am looking to travel and make friends abroad!

Hello everyone! My name is Benjamin and I was born in Columbus, Ohio, United States.
After I graduated high school, I joined the United States Marine Corps for five years, and fought in the war in Afghanistan.

In 2015 I started college and have been studying ever since.
I am double majoring in Computer Science & International Business.
I am minoring in Business Administration and Management, Finance, and Photography.

I am a very friendly person and love meeting new people of all backgrounds!

I love photography, fitness, shooting guns, and to be outside either hiking or riding my motorcycle.
I am learning to cook. I love to learn new languages and I have a big interest in learning Arabic, Russian, and Chinese. Right now I only speak fluent English.

I like to go partying and drinking sometimes but most of the time I am calm, and just hanging out with friends.
I also have two little dogs (pugs).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make friends around the world and to be able to travel and maybe visit them in their homeland after I host them. I really want to see as much of the world as possible. The only thing preventing me is the cost of lodging.
I love this new sharing living spaces movement!

I believe so many people (myself included) have a great desire to travel the world, but the thing that prevents them is the cost of lodging and not being able to find some to go with them and share the experience with.
For this reason I am opening up my house to anyone who wishes to visit Ohio.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing that I have done is tied between serving in the war in Afghanistan while in the US Marine Corps, or becoming a Freemason.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak fluent English. If you're interested in the language, I can teach you some.
Also I am currently attending a small private university studying the field of computer science.

My passions are doing boudoir and glamour photography (I will photograph you for free if you want a photoshoot done).
I do yoga, lift weights, and train in Krav Maga martial arts.
I love to ride my motorcycle.
Also I shoot guns a lot (I will teach you how if you want and you can shoot my guns).

What I Can Share with Hosts

When you come and stay with me, I can offer the traditional amenities such as...

-Picking you up and dropping you off at the Columbus International Airport.
-A spare bedroom with a queen sized bed and dresser to unpack your belongings.
-A welcoming and friendly environment.
-Free WiFi internet access.
-A weight room in my garage to lift weights.
-When I am not at school, I can possibly offer car rides to places within 100 miles of my home.

Some of the special amenities I can offer are...
-During the warm months (April - September) I can offer you motorcycle rides as a passenger on my Harley Davidson.
-You are more than welcome to shoot my guns with me (it is legal in the United States to own all kinds of guns).
-You can use my kayaks for free on rivers or lakes.

If you have a set itinerary I will help you find the places so you can see and do everything you planned.
If you do not have a lot planed, I would love to show you around central Ohio and change the way you view the United States if you don't know anything about the culture here.
There are many outdoor activities to do here year round.

For those who are staying at my place, I hope you don't mind, I have two dogs (pugs).
