About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience new cultures and perspectives via teaching English abroad.
ABOUT ME
I enjoy being a local of wherever I am in the world. I search for the local restaurants and haunts to hang out in and meet new people or create new experiences. I like being the leader, but I also enjoy following people around on whatever they want to do. The thrill of going anywhere without a specific plan is my favorite part of traveling.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in traveling, studying outside of one's comfort zone, and being a person with a never ending curiosity. I want to live a life that satisfies me and helps others. I believe that all persons should have the opportunities to pursue their heart's desires.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't participated all that much in CS. I have done it a couple of times but mainly it was through friends of friends. If I lived in a more tourist savvy place, I would be more than happy to host. I hope to participate more in my travels when I'm done with my studies and have a more interesting living space.
Interests
I love languages, traveling, being outside of my comfort zone, experiencing different cultures, music, and going out. I also like to keep up with current and world affairs as well as read. I'm a beer connoisseur and enjoy cooking with great passion. I play bass guitar, guitar, and drums.

Music, Movies, and Books
As a musician, I enjoy almost every form of music. I love progressive rock, post-rock,and post/sludge metal, but I also like hip-hop, folk music, singer-songwriter, techno/electronica, jazz, classical, bluegrass, and blues.
Movies are hit and miss for me. I enjoy some movies, but I always feel like I could have something else during the time I spent watching a movie. I like westerns, spy films, art films, thrillers, books-turned-movies, concert DVDs, thought - provocative films, classics, and intelligent comedies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Singing in Chartres Cathedral in France was the most amazing musical moment of my life. To this day, I have never had a musical moment like I did in that cathedral. I have hiked at least 100 miles of the Appalchian Trail in the United States and loved the views along that trail. I lived in Berlin for a month, and I really want to live there again for a longer period of time.
