ABOUT ME

I have just finshed my compulsory schooling and am now looking to take on my big overseas adventure. I find the cultural differences of countries very interesting and always try to emerse myself in that culture. I have a love for food, so am always willing to try something new. I work as a barista because I enjoy engaging with new people and taking an interest in what they like and do. I like to think of myself as kind and conscientous and if i can, will always help those around me. From my limited amount of travel i believe the best way to visit and understand a country is to talk and spend time with the people who live there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right at the moment i am travelling so i am hoping to couch surf with heaps of cool people. After that i want to repay the favour and help heaps of people out in NZ!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None. I have a really cool friend though who has has surfed heaps and reccomends it highly!

Interests

As i am from Wellington, New Zealand, I love rugby and spend many tenuous hours watching the All Blacks play. I work as a barista and am constantly entering coffee competitions such as the NZ 2012 Barista Championships to try and improve the quality of every coffee i make. I love painting and drawing and when i get a spare moment try to paint those around me. On friday and saturday nights i like to go out with my friends to town for food, drinks and the occasional dance.

I love non-fiction books such as alive by Piers Paul Read.

Music.. Anything that makes my foot tap.

I love movies that either capture me with well thought out plots or hilarious comedies that make you laugh so hard it hurts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The New Zealand All Blacks winning the 2011 rugby world cup will always be one of the best things i have seen. Going snorkling on the great barrier reef and seeing the amazing fish and coral was awesome and i wish i could do it all over again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I haven't surfed or hosted but i did do a few exchanges during high school. What i learned from this is to respect someones rules and that to have the best time of your life you need to be open to new things.
