I'm a recent graduate (physics with chemistry) and I'm on a road trip to see more of my country and look at grad school or work in the tech industry. Mostly I've been camping in the shell of my truck, but when the weather gets harsh I prefer to have a warm place to stay. I love spending time meeting travelers and if anyone is gracious enough to let me stay with them I always have fun learning about the people I visit. It's not my intention to treat anyone's home like it's a hotel. I'm clean and courteous the way I hope that my own guests would be.

On the road even small kindness can make a world of difference for travelers, especially in winter, so thank you in advance to everyone who reaches out, even if it's just to give advice or say hi.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on a road trip up the east coast from Texas after graduating from University in Boulder, Colorado! I've been able to stay with friends for the most part, but as I head farther Northeast from Texas I know fewer people. I hope to be able to meet new people and learn about how I can be a better host when I have a home to offer.

Interests

On my trip up the coast I'm visiting hackerspaces and yoga studios to meet people and get a feel for the places I come through. Yoga helps me keep calm and positive, and I hope that by spending lots of time tinkering and programming I can start to get enough experience to pursue robotics education or work.

I also want be become a better cook to keep my friends and guests well fed and happy. Let me know if you have anything you could teach me!

I've been an undergraduate teaching intro physics for the past several months and I'm happy to give lessons on basic physics or just talk science anytime!

I'm also a guitarist and I can teach fingerstyle and fundamentals to anyone that's interested.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm happy to play music and tell stories about my time traveling! I'm also happy to chip in for food or help out around the house. I'll really try my best to be the kind of guest I'd like to have in my own home.
