ABOUT ME

I have been living in New York for years and am well versed in the city. I attended university here where I studied Culture and Communications. This study lead me to strong interests in global urban cultures, specifically how unique culture and subcultures develop. I have researched and written about this both academically and for publications. I love being immersed with new people, ideas, food, art, music, and culture. I am up to try anything once.

I pretty much enjoy all types of music and am very interesting finding something I'm unfamiliar with. I have studied and written on the origins of American and Chinese Hip-Hop. I work primarily with Indie Rock, Hip-Hop and various other genres of underground/non-mainstream music for my job so I get to hear a lot of that type.
