ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and moved to Israel just over 2 years ago. In Israel, I started out living in Be'er Sheva (southern Israel), and currently live in Jerusalem. I live with my girlfriend, Jesi, an Argentinian-born Israeli.

I have a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, and am starting an M.A. in International Relations at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. I work at a hi-tech company in Tel Aviv as a technical support representative, focusing on SEO.

I love traveling, and am looking forward to doing much more of it! When traveling, I enjoy learning about the history and culture of places I visit. This includes visiting historical sites, museums, and art galleries. I especially love trying out local cuisine, and sampling local beers and wines. In addition to cultural/historical-type trips, Jesi and I love to experience nature (we loved hiking throughout Costa Rica) and are big fans of beaches and swimming in oceans/lakes/seas (or pools).

I'm an avid reader (mostly news/current events and sports, but love a good book when I have time), an amateur guitarist, and a lover of films and all things music. I've been to dozens of concerts/festivals in my life, seeing bands and artists ranging from Pearl Jam to BB King, from Bob Dylan to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, from Snoop Dogg to Neil Young.

I'm a native English speaker and am fluent in Hebrew. My Spanish is at the beginner level (I understand much more than I can speak), while my French is basic. Jesi, my girlfriend and traveling companion is fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew, with beginner level Italian.
