To get to know like-minded locals. I had an overall positive experience with hosts and surfers in the past and I am impressed by how active the community is.

That being said, sometimes one just needs a free bed so if you just want to crash my couch for a night, I am most probably fine with that. Currently I live pretty central and close to the U2 metro.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

In 2010 I crossed the red sea by dhow with a group of Somali, Afar and Yemeni people after being in Somaliland, the peaceful part of Somalia. It took twenty hours and I fell asleep on a swinging wooden boat looking at the stars and listening to the waves of the sea. The captain behind me was operating the wheel with his feet. The next morning we arrived in Yemen.
