ABOUT ME

Where to start.. We are two students who love to travel. We've been very much in love for ten years now, and have had lots of different experiences together. Benny is a Danish-American who grew up in Sweden, while Eirin is just Norwegian. We met in Copenhagen where we both lived and worked. After some years of working, we toured the Latin-American countries together from 2003 to 2005. Upon our return to Scandinavia, we started studying in Norway. Benny is now doing his MA in health economics (he has a BA in social economics, and has done one year of psychology). Eirin is currently writing her thesis about sexual and gender minorities in Nepal, and has a background from a student organisation in Norway.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've been discussing couchsurfing afer we heard about it a few years ago, but haven't really had the chance to try it until now. We actually have had a few couch surfing experiences outside of this forum, when people we have met on our travels (some only for a few hours) have come to crash for a night or two (hotels in Norway are expensive!) We've figured that now it's time to try it properly though. If it turns out to be a good experience, we'll probably open up for other surfers to use our couch again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One of the nicest experiences must be Bob, who visited us from the states. We briefly met him in Kansas in 2003 when we where driving across the US. We met in Starbucks, started chatting and where invited to his home for tea. After a few hours we continued on our way, but in 2005 he came to visit us in Bergen for a few days, and we really got to know eachother. Great guy! He still sends us updates on his daughter and so forth :)
