About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Be positive, learn Spanish and push myself!
ABOUT ME
My name is Ben, I've just spent the last year working for a trade exchange in my hometown of Perth, Western Australia. Perth is a beautiful place with white sandy beaches and clear blue skies that I feel privileged to call home. In saying this, the past year has reawakened the yearning for travel in me. So here I find myself, about to begin a trip to Central/South America with a quick pit stop in New York City. I am somebody who loves to laugh, and loves to be challenged. Having come from a mixed race background, I am fascinated by people and culture, and I think this is why I chose History as my discipline.
My main goal on this upcoming trip is to try and learn as much Spanish as I can. If this means a tequila and salsa class on the way, then so be it!
I'm a very active person, and in fact after my Central/South American adventure, I'll be heading to London to play cricket semi-professionally!
Feel free to get in touch, I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.
PHILOSOPHY
We are pretty darn lucky to be here (no matter which way you think we got here). You only live once, so try and push yourself out of your comfort zone once in a while.

Music, Movies, and Books
I always find this such a tough question! Life is Beautiful, The Godfather, Memento, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Up, The Lion King (that's right). Just ask me and I'll tell you what I think of it!
I have a pretty broad taste in music, I like to think I can appreciate almost any genre (country and death core excepted).
Books: The God of Small Things, Our Fathers, Lay Bare the Heart: An autobiography of the Civil Rights Movement.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think there is too many to list here. I think maybe getting in the thick of the festival of Holi in India was pretty special, as was partying on the streets of Delhi after India had just won the World Cup!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have taught English in India and I'm a bit sports mad. Hopefully I can add Spanish to this list in the not too distant future!
