About Me
Me (19 y old) and my girlfriend Hanna (19 y old), both from Bavaria/Germany, are traveling since 1st of January 2025 across Asia/Europe. We started our trip in South-East-Asia, but learned quite fast that we want to see more of Asia. So we flew to Taiwan and traveled overland across Japan, Korea and China to central Asia. Then through the Altai mountains of China and Mongolia to Russia, where we continued our journey to europe by traveling the transsiberian railway. In the end of November we finally made it back in the EU and the hardest part was done.
You can follow me on polarsteps to see our detailed journey of this year and our current location: /BenSchwr
We like to hike in the nature, hitchhike along international highways, sit in a trains for days or visit mega cities. Just a little bit of everything so we don’t get bored. Thats why some people say we are always in a rush. But thats not it, we just like the change and we do have our phases.
Still we are not sure what to do when we get back to Germany and what we would like to study or work. But we are always eager to learn about others and what they did/do for a living.
When we finished Highschool last year we worked for six months in a chocolate factory for Christmas season. So I definitely know whats not my dreamjob, even though there was always something delicious to snack around.
PS: We don‘t need much space. Just a warm stop to put our camping gear ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I created an account on Couchsurfing because Trustroots didn’t have as much variety in hosts, especially in eastern countries like China, Mongolia, or Russia.
Also did I realize that accommodations are very expensive in western/northern Europe and its way too cold for our summer camping gear.
We want to meet people, who are actually living in the places we visit and hopefully build some international friendships/connections :)
Once we’ve settled down one day, everyone’s welcome to visit and we’ll do our part by hosting others and passing on the good karma.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
maybe one day something really amazing, like having a family and/or contributing to a better world
Teach, Learn, Share
Actually we can’t teach so much, since we don’t have the experience of life, but we do have some amusing stories to tell and can share our knowledge we build, while visiting some asian regions.
When meeting other people, we always try to learn something from their stories and perspectives to broaden our horizons.
