ABOUT ME

I'm a software engineer, and while I enjoy geeky things like arguing why emacs is better than vim, I prefer using my skills to solve real problems in creative ways. I enjoy meeting people with different experiences and viewpoints, so that I can broaden my own understanding of the world.

兴趣

I like solving problems. While I don't always get the right answers, I enjoy the puzzles and the journey. I use programming to solve problems on a daily basis, but am fascinated by learning about others' toolsets. In my spare time I play music (violin, starting to learn guitar) and go hiking in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

I teach at RailsSchool, so I'm happy to teach computer skills like using Linux, programming in rails, or building web sites with html and css.

I've worked with lots of startups, and always happy to offer feedback or be a guinea pig for new ideas.
