HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I moved to Perth, Australia in July 2008 and joined, planning to use it then, but didn't. After moving into a sharehouse largely set up for CSing I enjoyed a great year in an ideal house hosting alot of cool people. Since we all took requests we got a range of people. Now I was the most overtly hippy one, but as we all obviously had our own personalities we drew our own style of CSer, which was nice. Now I've been on my first big trip North for about 4 months so it is finally my turn to experience things from the other side :)
In my time here we also got involved in alot of weekly events through the CS Perth group: Santarchy pub crawl, road trips down south, Earthdance etc. We also held a really nice evening at our flat as part of the 'international food nights' held regularly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a shiteload of people throughout 2009 and early 2010 at my sharehouse full of csers in Perth, Australia. I finally couchsurfed myself in France a couple times recently and am now going to also do it in Berlin and Thailand on my way back to NZ. Once home I plan to host again in my home town of Raglan, which is a beautiful little town with damm good surf. Last years lonely planet rates it 'probably New Zealands coolest small town.' So yeh come check it out and look me up :)

Teach, Learn, Share

My own philosophies melded together from a permaculture type upbringing, yoga, vippasana, sociology, biology and other stuff. . Am a leather shoemaker which is kind of a dying art these days.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Just returned back to my hometown, after 10 years in Melbourne. Raglan is a lovely little tourist town so I thought I'd offer up what I can to visiting CSers.

My current place is rather tiny!
But I am happy to offer up a parking spot in our driveway for your van.
Or a spot on the lawn for your tent.
Or even if you dont stay here.
I can spend an hour or 3 tour guiding you around the town!
I'm also a surfer, so can go for a surf with you if you need a hand to learn or just want a surf bud for the day.
Also, just feel free to contact me if you need any advice on the town and surrounding areas.

Cheers!
