About Me

Finding a balance between roots and wings

In a nutshell: Ben and I were born and raised in the Midwest. We met at Iowa State University and got married in Iowa. We lived in Texas for 3 years, traveled the world for a year, lived in Bangkok with Deenaree's relatives for a year, moved to New Jersey for a couple of years and had our son. We moved to St. John's in Newfoundland, Canada in the summer of 2013 and had our second son in 2014. We are looking forward to what this chapter has in store.

We have a great interest in exploring places that we would never get to see as tourists, which is why we're very excited to be a part of the CS network.

For what it's worth, it's never too late, or in my case too early - to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit; stop whenever you want. You can change, or stay the same - there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again. (From Benjamin Button)

Deenaree: It's been quite a ride since Ben and I met in 2002 and now we're blessed with our sons. Every moment leading up to now has been full of amazing.
