Travel, Write, Explore, and Conquer
Hello! I'm a guitar player and songwriter. After traveling around the world and living and working as an ESL teacher in Japan and Costa Rica, I'm ready to settle back in the States and play music. I'm hitting the road and heading out West. I have my sights on Portland Oregon, because I absolutely love it out there. I'm starting my trip in NJ, and I'm going to make some stops along the way!
I'm into all styles of music: rock, blues, jazz, folk, reggae, country, I love it all! I love to jam with different kinds of musicians. I studied music at college and I've taught guitar for 7 years years. Besides music, I love hiking and checking out great spots in nature. I also love cooking! I'm very much into being creative with other people and trying to make a difference in this world!

It's not always the destination but the journey it takes to get there. Carpe diem!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love meeting new people through couch-surfing. It's the best way to travel, and I love helping out people when they are traveling as well. I've gone to CS potlucks and I love the immediate connection that you feel when you meet a fellow couch-surfer. If you host me, or surf my couch, I will cook you a damn good meal and will play you a song if you want to hear one!
I've crashed with some real cool people throughout the U.S. in Asheville, Nashville, Memphis, Austin, San Antonio, Santa Fe, Tucson, LA, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Boulder, and Denver. I've also couch-surfed in Dublin and Barcelona. Couch-surfers are very cool, open minded people. We ate, drank, and got merry, and that's what I'm all about!
One of my favorite couch-surfing stories was when I went to Dublin, Ireland. I was invited to stay at the "Magic House" which was a house full of awesome Brazilian guys, a few of which were magicians, hence the name. Since I was living in Japan at the time and my profile said that I lived in Japan, my host thought I was Japanese. When I arrived at the house they were preparing a sushi dinner for me. We all had a good laugh, and when I realized that I was eating sushi with a bunch of Brazilians in Ireland, I realized that it was quite the unique conglomeration of cultures! That's couchsurfing for you!
