About Me

Well I'm 21 years old, not a graduate, instead I chose to travel and find some real-world experience.

I spent a year living in Gex, France, and have since returned to the UK to qualify as a Private Investigator.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to have an adventure! I am a very spontaneous person, with a lot of big ideas about what I'd like to get up to, but with an almost non-existent budget.

Some of the best times of my life have been with people I have met whilst travelling, and I want to try to push out of the comfort zone and explore some new cities, finding as much fun as I possibly can whilst I'm there!

Interests

I love travelling, being impulsive and finding amusing or exciting things to do. Music is a big part of my life, I play a few instruments, have done some writing with a few budding artists and am starting to record and produce now as well. Very early stages right now.

I like to keep fit, and I have a part-time job at a climbing arena where I get to climb quite often too, which I love. I also love to snowboard although I only had about 10 days experience (when I was 19), but I'm going again soon!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love almost all kinds of music - particularly 'pop rock' at the moment (You Me At Six, Set It Off, All Time Low). I met Against The Current in Glasgow this Christmas which was brilliant. Classics like Jackson 5, Ray Charles, Nat King Cole etc. also feature pretty regularly on my ipod.

Big fan of any movie that's done well. 50/50, The Raid & The Raid 2, Django..

Don't read a lot of books. Not fiction at least. I have books on criminology, psychology, religious conflict etc. which I read to get a better understanding of people and the type of work that I'll soon be involved in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught a 4 year old girl how to ride a bike!! I could put down some of the random, anecdotal events in my life that usually make a good story, but to be honest there's nothing as amazing as actually teaching a skill to a child. I was an au pair in France, and I lived with and looked after this girl, so we were very close, and I also taught her English, counting etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm happy to help you with English, written or spoken. I can help you practice your French too although mine isn't perfect - I haven't spoken it in a while!

I can share some songwriting secrets or let you in on some professional investigation techniques in case you ever want to channel your inner Sherlock!

I want to experience anything that might be unique, unusual or interesting in your city - and I will do almost anything!! Suggestions?
