ABOUT ME

I'm originally from South Africa now Australia. Finally reached the 50/50 mark.

I'm on a two year work visa to the UK and living in London at the moment but looking to do a bit of travel while I'm on this side of the world.

Very excited about broadening my horizons, meeting interesting people and having all sorts of adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I have only recently joined the CS community I have hosted friends and friends of friends and have been the recipient of other's hospitality. CS is a fantastic idea and I'm excited to finally be a part of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While travelling in the past I have done some unofficial couch-surfing. On my return to Melbourne I plan to have a couch on stand-by.

Interests

Travel and adventure, live music and exciting DJ sets, Reading, sport (mostly just watching but a game of touch-rugby on the beach always goes down a treat). Learning new things about people and places and the world around us.

Music, Movies, and Books

Many different genres of music interest me, though not pop music as much. Much prefer funk, blues, hip hop (not gangsta as much) bluegrass and jazz.

Both novels and non-fiction appeal to me and I have a soft spot for popular science books, deep down I'm a scientist at heart.

I like movies that make you think and ones that depict the human condition whether that may be funny or depressing. Though a good animation or zombie flick is always welcome too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took a solo trip from South Africa to Uganda along the east coast which really blew my mind in the amount of variety in not only the people I encountered but the number of different landscapes they inhabit.

I am always happy to impart any knowledge I may have accumulated and respect and appreciated when others take the time to enrich my life with their wisdom.
