About Me
*Please do read my profile before sending a stay request*
Hello there!
I'm Beril, 28 yrs old, from Istanbul but for now based in Berlin. I'm an easygoing and open-minded individual, pretty chill in my own world - if you need reassurance about my personality, you can always ask my lovely cat for a reference.
I love spending time with others, cooking, and getting lost in unfamiliar streets. I am all about offline experiences since there's so much to explore, and spending too much time on the phone is a waste of time (yes, not sure if technology is the best thing that happened to humanity).
I usually take long walks in parks, check out cool museums, and try to find those local gems that aren't part of the usual touristy stuff. Politics is a huge part of my life, and I enjoy chatting about it with people. Heads up, my opinions might differ from the general consensus. If you're sending a stay request, simply mention Panda in your message to let me know you are taking the time to explore the details of my profile. I value everyone's opinion and expect the same in return, not only for politics but also for life in general. I'm all about embracing new challenges. They keep life interesting and open up exciting possibilities.
Oh, let's not forget about pets – they're awesome, and I'm a big fan. So, yes, that's a bit about me, would love to hear your story!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As my jobs required a lot of travelling, I've been to many countries and learnt about different cultures, but I’ve not experienced being a solo traveller that much. Now that I am enjoying the student life again, I want to get out of my comfort zone and see where it takes me.
I heard a lot about CS in the past but never had the opportunity to join. So, for now, and above all, my main objective is to connect with new people, listen to their stories, and gain insights from their unique experiences. I'm all about deeper connections in life and creating meaningful memories. With hopes held high, I see Couchsurfing as a potential way to achieve these 🙆🏻♀️

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to a wide range of genres and styles. I'm always on the lookout for hidden musical gems and emerging artists that may not be well-known yet. Feel free to hit me up with more music anytime – I'm all ears!
Big fan of crime series and do love horror movies. I binge watch cheesy, goofy, funny romantic movies - and no, I am not ashamed.
My all time favs: Ivan’s Childhood, I Vitelloni , Psycho, The Shawshank Redemption, Green Book, Ford v Ferrari.
With all the academic books taking up my reading time, it's been a while since I had the chance to indulge in a good old-fashioned literary book but: Blindness by José Saramago, Do Not Say We Have Nothing by Madeleine Thien, The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger and of course, The Little Prince by my dear friend Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Funny stories, homemade experimental meals as well as some mouthwatering dishes from my home country. If you are also into F1, I can share a lot of spicy gossip with you 😝
