About Me

Hi everyone,

It happened more than once that people think my name is a male name - never met a male person called Berit, so I'm absolutly sure its female ;-) Im from Germany, growing up in the western part near Düsseldorf/ Cologne. After my school exam I moved to Sweden, working as an au-pair in a swedish family. Scandinavia, especially Sweden, became like a second home for me - the countryside, the language and the way of living. During my studies to a primary school teacher in Bavaria, Southern Germany, I spend another in Sweden.

I'm an open-minded person who talks very fast - too fast sometimes if you believe my friends ;-) - but I'm also good in listening :D I love living in shared flats, cooking and spend time together.

Most of the time I'm vegetarian and trying to live a sustainible life without plastic or any other packing, as well as travelling in a conscious way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There is no better chance to get to know a country and a city in all its details than meeting people from that place. I like sharing stories, getting to know all the favourite places someone has and get to know new people and cultures.

Reading was and is still a part of life - growing up with a family bookshop.
