Overview
About Me
I’m Berkay, a 21 year old Electrical & Electronics Engineering student from Türkiye who’s currently on a mission to become a world-class engineer and entrepreneur. I love building things, from PLC projects in factories to IoT dashboards on my laptop, and I’m equally passionate about exploring new cities, cultures, and people.
I’m ambitious, reflective, and always chasing growth. I’m also very open-hearted: whether it’s talking about history, technology, or life philosophies, I enjoy deep conversations. Travel has become a big part of my education, every city I visit teaches me something new.
Despite the big goals, I keep my humor and curiosity alive. I’m not looking for luxury, but for authentic experiences and connections.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because travel for me is not just about seeing buildings or landmarks, it’s about connecting with real people. Hotels don’t give you that. I want to meet locals, share stories, and maybe even make lifelong friends along the way.
I also travel on a student budget, so Couchsurfing gives me the chance to continue exploring while keeping it affordable and meaningful.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Open taste, Turkish rock, Mexican/Latin vibes, electronic, film soundtracks. Depends on the mood.
Books: Mostly non-fiction, psychology, self-growth, and history.
Movies: Anything with depth: sci-fi, historical, thought-provoking dramas. I also enjoy a good comedy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I built a working industrial system with a PLC and motor during my very first days at an internship, something I had never touched before. It made me realize that if I throw myself into challenges, I can rise to them.
Another amazing thing: I left Türkiye to travel across Europe with only a backpack, little budget, and a big dream. Every city, from Munich to Copenhagen, taught me how much I can adapt and grow.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can share Turkish culture and cuisine, basic German, technical knowledge about electronics, programming, and branding.
Learn: I’m eager to learn about other cultures, languages, and how people approach life. I especially want to learn hands-on skills, local history, and stories.
Share: Good food, honest conversations, and my perspective as someone building himself from scratch.
What I Can Share with Hosts
