I grew up on the coast of Maine, and always return to this incredible part of my country. I am happiest spending most of my time outside, exploring landscapes, meeting people, and making food and art.

I'm currently spending some winter months away from my icy home, traveling through France and Spain and exploring food and traditional agriculture in these areas. I enjoy meeting real people when I visit places, and I appreciate the skill-sharing, gift-based aspects of couchsurfing.

I love to cook, and am always interested in sharing food, recipes, and methods. My background is in organic agriculture primarily, specifically diverse vegetables and herbs, and am always interested in learning about plants and how people grow food.
I play the guitar, but music is something I need to put a lot of work into, and I'm interested in learning/practicing more.
I like to draw, paint, and variously express ideas through a variety of mediums. I do a lot of printmaking at home, but this is a challenging to keep up while traveling. I'm always interested in sharing art.
