ABOUT ME

We are married, both energetic, hard working, community minded, Christian folk. Our roots are in England, Scotland and Ireland. We have 6 children, who are raised, and love the "empty nest" time we have to work and travel. Bernadette is more high energy, and Bruce loves to be more laid back. We balance each other. We are the best of buddies.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted many times, and enjoyed the favors of many as well. Our experiences have all been very positive. The best thing is meeting with the "locals" and taking their advice on what to see and do. We have never been dissappointed in their recommendations. We have enjoyed the level of trust that our hosts have had, giving us keys to their home, and made their home, our home for a few days.

Bernadette likes romantic and drama, Bruce likes "boy" movies. We like Celtic music, folk music, easy listening music. Bruce loves rock n roll. Bernadette reads biographies, and mysteries based on real life adventures, Bruce reads detective stories.

My favorite Rome, without a doubt. Our amazing walk was definitely on the "Great Wall of China"

Slept on streets of London many times for Royal events including the Queen’s funeral.
