ABOUT ME

Hello! I am Bernardo and I am 27 years old.
I grew up in a small city in the center of Portugal. I have studied psychology at the University of Coimbra (maybe you have heard of it). I am really into gardening and agriculture, sports such as volleyball. Right now, and since I still don't have a family, I am keeping all the money that I can to travel around. I did Erasmus back in 2012 in Valencia - Spain and an interrail in 2013, so I have been around as much as I could.
I am into chating with people from different countries and cultures, that I believe is the best way to understand humanity and to feel human.
I am a true omnivore, I love to taste new food and feel new sensations.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not able to host anybody at the moment but I hope I will sometime in the future. I really think couchsurfing is one of the tools crafted through good human values and that's why I want to explore it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Tried back in 2013 throughout the Interrail but didn't got lucky. This year I was hosted in Valencia - Spain, Novi Sad and Belgrade - Serbia and I loved it!

I almost got killed by a wave when I was 7 and now I'm really enjoying being alive!

I can teach how to play volleyball if you're up to it. I can tell some stories about Portugal's history, about our revolution and our values. Surely something about psychology if it's not boring to you. Anyway, anything that can make a good conversation can be a topic. I don't know anything about cars or engines. As someone said: "if you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room." So I am looking forward to lose arguments in order to learn something new, but I won't give up without a fight.

I am looking forward to meet locals. Firstly because I want to learn as much as I can about you culture and there is no better way then to have a good conversation while drinking wine. Then, of course, there is no hiding about it, it's attractive to spend time with locals without a fixed price. It's important to look this way, low cost traveling is a thing you learn and the more you practice it the more you can travel.
