ABOUT ME

My name is Bernard Smalls and I'm currently serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Maychew, Ethiopia, which has been one of the best experiences of my life. I love meeting new people and seeing new places, and I especially love seeing the wildlife that resides in those places. I was born in Germany, raised in America, and being from a bicultural household has shaped me into the person I am today. I'm a little bit crazy, but then, who isn't?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to couchsurfing, but I've had the opportunity to host a few people through friends that were on couch surfing. Those experiences helped convince me to join!

Music, Movies, and Books

My interests are highly varied in a way that doesn't seem to make sense. I love hip-hop, R&B, pop music, the occasional rock song, and good musicals. I love reading and enjoy pretty much any book I pick up. I tend to focus on literature (Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens), modern popular novels (Harry Potter, Twilight), and random nonfiction things (especially anything on wildlife). I'll also watch pretty much any movie.
