Overview
About Me
When I was 20, I decided to travel solo for the first time. I asked myself: what's one of the least known countries in Europe? Moldova—and its unrecognized neighbor, Transnistria—stood out. But flying there? Too easy. I chose the long route: trains and buses through Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania... and finally Moldova.
Along the way, I hid on a Romanian train without a ticket, got rescued by a stranger in Iasi, and crossed the border in a sketchy car. A Moldovan official barked at me, "What are you doing in my country? You know you're leaving the EU?"
That younger version of me has never regretted that choice, even though back then, I didn’t know how I’d communicate, read new alphabets, or know who to trust. But travel has a way of working itself out—if you follow your intuition.
Since then, I’ve gone solo through China, Tibet, Nepal, India, the Maldives, Poland, and Romania. The experiences have been wild
Of course, not everything was easy. I’ve been held at gunpoint, pepper sprayed, robbed, even slapped for no reason. But those are just bad memories that fade away.
And those moments? You don’t need to explain them to anyone. They’re yours. A piece of who you are, untouchable. Something to keep, quietly, for yourself.
Since then travelling has changed a lot. At that time there was no smartphone, no google maps, no online bookings, no translation apps, BUT there was already couchsurfing :-)
Now I want to pick up where I have left it some years ago.
Due to ongoing projects in Belgium I wasn't able to travel that much any more, but I think that'll change from now on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To listen to what local people have to tell.
To see the city or the area you visit trough their eyes.
I want to understand your experiences and your point of view on the world.
Interests
Still interested in photography after all these years, trying to understand politics and the abuse of power, social issues, ecologism and why that is not are biggest concern on earth, partying but rather in underground places where the creativity unfolds itself.
Deep love for reading, walking, hiking and trailrunning or just wandering around in remote landscapes or city streets absorbing the present moment.
Besides I like urban sports such as calisthenics, parkour and boulding.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a deep love for electronic music but more the alternative form you can find in alternative clubs and festivals.
One of my favorite cities for some spontaneous parties and feel good moments is Berlin.
Books are mostly non-fiction on the state of the planet and social issues
Teach, Learn, Share
It embodies what life has to offer, exchange things, learn to think in a different perspective and have some respect to others in living your life
What I Can Share with Hosts
My energy and stories, but also my willingness to listen, to learn and absorb.
