I am an empty nester and a school teacher so I get the best holidays for traveling. I love to travel. When traveling, I prefer to hang out with the locals and do what locals do. I'm not one for the fancy resorts or the all-inclusives. I like to go to bed early and get up early. I like to have a cold beer on a hot day. I love live music and other performing arts. Meeting new people and getting to know new countries are my favourite things about traveling.

I thought I would try Couchsurfing. I usually stay in hostels when traveling as it gives me more opportunities to meet people and experience local culture. I thought I would try something new this time and really get to know the locals!

Musica, film e libri

I'm a little embarrassed to say Country Music is my favourite, although I also love some old classic rock. Any music live is certainly worth listening to. My favourite movies change season to season, so I don't really know that I have a FAVOURITE. I must say I've be enjoying some Ryan Reynolds movies. Might be that I just enjoy our little Canadian superstar.

Put myself through university while raising 3 daughters. At the time it didn't seem that big of a deal, but looking back at it, it was pretty amazing!

Everyday is a day of teaching, learning, and sharing, especially when traveling as a couch surfer. I am passionate about teach, learn, share, which is why I became a school teacher. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and learning from others on my journey.

I'm not really much of a cook, but I do have a couple of good recipes I can make. I do love to sit and have a cold beer or a nice glass of wine and trade "stories".
