About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see more of the world and make wonderful friends along the way.

ABOUT ME

I live in Berlin, Germany and just finished my fourth year of medical school. I cycled from South Africa to Mozambique this winter and across the USA last summer. I've found this to be one of my favorite ways to travel and couchsurfing and warm shower makes it possible. Before Berlin I lived in Santa Cruz, California where I spent most of my formidable years. But now I've become a bit of a city person, but my heart will always have roots and call out for nature.

PHILOSOPHY

Be the change you want to see in the world.

It's good to scare yourself once in a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have taken in people in the past but not through couchsurfing. I´ve just recently found a stable place to be able to do so again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wonderful, just wonderful people out there.

Interests

I am interested in rock climbing and anything that has to do with the outdoors. I really enjoy working on old bikes and riding them. Although I am not a good artist I enjoy many types of art. Of course science and health are also important things that interest me. I have a lot of interests and have started too many hobbies to list here.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- Rock, experimental, electronic, almost everything.
Movies- Anything but Romantic Comedies.
Books- On the Road, All the Pretty Horses, Anything from Kurt Vonnegut, Charles Bukowski, Tom Robbins

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I was on a bus and caught a falling elderly woman, and prevented her from hitting her head on the ground.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share knowledge about nutrition, health and science. Then I can also contribute the random jumbled knowledge I've learned throughout my life. I want to learn about new dishes to cook and the interesting rituals that go along with them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can cook together, share stories and laugh. Oh and of course drink a proper ale.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belize, Cambodia, Chile, Croatia, Germany, Guatemala, Laos, Mexico, Mozambique, Myanmar, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Swaziland, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
