Hey there! :) I´m a 24 year old chemistry student from Dresden, Germany. I love traveling and meeting new people, it´s one of the things that colors life, isn´t it? At the moment I am living in Araraquara, a city in Sao Paolo state, Brazil. After my studies here are over I would love to travel Brazil and get to know other parts of it! I love sports, especially brasilian jiu jitsu. Also I like to read alot, trying to get to know the local literature wherever I go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a beautiful way not only to find places to stay but also to meet local citizens! People who stay in hotels will never be able to connect to the population in the same way! Everybody knows the best hangouts and restaurants are mostly only known by the locals. Couchsurfing provides an opportunity to get to know places in a real and not just the normal touristic way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classic rock and pop like Led Zeppilin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers etc. but I also listen to various other kinds of music like samba, bossa nova, hiphop and electric music. For studying I prefer film- or classical music.

I also like watching movies and series. I generally prefer comedy and action, which doesn´t mean that I don´t watch other films as well.

I´m more picky with literature. Even though I am a huge fan of the older fantasy classics like Lord of the rings and of course Harry Potter I don´t read much of the newer fantasy books (only exception beeing GoT). I prefer reading classical literature. Momentarily I am reading Captains of the Sand by Jorge Amado. Among my favorite authors are Hemmingway, Zweig, Remarque and Balzac just to name a few.
