Sometimes hosting, most of the time meeting up to show couch surfers around Beijing, give them some tips about what to see and do, and of course have a drink!

I like this feeling of having several lives in one that you get from discovering new places and meeting people from all around our big world. Beijing has been my place to be for almost three years as the number of people you can meet and places you can go to here is almost infinite. I like studying, languages in particular and in general everything that gives me the feeling of understanding our world a bit better. Politics, philosophy and life experiences are the conversations I enjoy particularly.

My first year in Beijing was quite a challenge for me already. Another one was my trip to South east Asia and the South of China by trains, buses or boats - well everything but plane! Seeing the Halong bay in Vietnam, Angkor temples and lost city in Cambodia, the Tiger leap gorges in Yunnan province, will definitely remain some key-moments of my life.
I can think of two other places that left me deep impressions: the city of Prag and the German land of Bavaria, both for the people I could meet and the way I felt alive, enjoying every sight, every taste, every sound.. and every beer by the way!
