Hi! I'm Beth, a 21 year old film and tv student living in York but originally from Devon. I spent a short amount of time last year travelling through Spain on my own and loved it, especially meeting new people to explore places with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started travelling solo last year, spending 10 days making my way from Faro in Portugal to Madrid. I had a really great time and am looking to explore more of the world and meet new people. As I'm a student, spending as little money as possible is quite important too!

Music, Movies, and Books

I absolutely love The Smiths and Morrissey, as well as ABBA and a whole load of 80s cheese. Have been described as having a worse singing voice than Pierce Brosnan in Mamma Mia, so that's something to look forward to.

I'm pretty open with films, and I'll give most things a watch. Some of my favourites are The Before Trilogy, Midnight in Paris, Lord of the Rings and Monsters Inc. I'm also very into sitcoms, I love anything by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant as well as Gavin & Stacey and Detectorists.

Haven't read too much recently, really enjoyed The Colour Purple, and have read quite a few music autobiographies recently. My favourites are Johnny Marr's, Morrissey's, and Mark Oliver Everett's.
