Overview
About Me
I’m an ESL teacher, originally from Oregon City, OR soon to be leaving to teach English in South Korea.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently, I'm not able to accept guests (due to my own living arrangements) and am looking to mainly surf for the time being.
I think traveling is more than just a physical journey and it takes a lot of bravery to go forth into unknown territory. I want to someday be a host so I can support other people's acts of bravery through their travels. I look forward to surfing because I want to exchange cultures and stories with people of diverse backgrounds. Ultimately, I believe traveling helps us grow our awareness of a world outside of ourselves and expand our ideas of what is possible.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge reader, so putting my favorite books on here would be a list too long to handle. Let's just say I mostly read fiction and have the occasional dalliance with non-fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took my first solo international trip to Ireland in 2007 and wandered for three weeks. It was an amazing experience and I met many beautiful people. I've been traveling ever since.
Teach, Learn, Share
Sharing stories about adventures outside our comfort zone (ie, regular life)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendly personality and stories about my travels. I love cooking together with someone while mutually agreed upon music is played, and later enjoying that meal together while sharing stories.
