Hi I'm Bethany, but I go by Betty. I sold all of my stuff, moved out of my apartment and quit my job last year to pursue my dream of traveling full time. I have mainly been in Latin America over the last year, but recently decided to try my luck with Europe and have been bopping around Turkey and the Balkans since June 2021. I love to travel (obviously), love meeting people from around the world, and most importantly I love to eat and drink red wine. I grew up in the South and while I may have lost my accent, I haven't lost my Southern hospitality! I am super outgoing and could hold a conversation with a tree if I had to.

I think the best part of traveling is the people you meet along the way! I'd rather couchsurf or stay in a hostel any day over a hotel. People definitely make the places.

I've only officially Couchsurfed through this site once in Ho Chi Minh City and it was an experience to say the least. I'll tell you all about it when I surf with you.
