About Me
Hello! My name is Bethany and I´m a recent university graduate spending the year in Spain as an English Language Assistant. I teach in a high school just outside of Madrid, and I´ll be living here until July. I grew up in Reno, Nevada (USA), but have spent the last four years in Seattle, Washington, completing my degree in Environmental Studies. I absolutely love spending time outside hiking, camping, and studying plants and animals - it´s my favorite thing to do! I also really enjoy learning and practicing Spanish, which is another reason why I chose to spend this year abroad. In my free time here, I love to run in the park near my apartment, explore new restaurants with friends, read, hike, and cook with my roommates. If you have any more questions about me, feel free to ask!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of the best parts of traveling is meeting and going out with new people, and I think that Couchsurfing is a great way to do that. Unfortunately, my apartment in Madrid doesn´t allow couchsurfing and we have a doorman who monitors everyone coming in and out - otherwise, I´d love to be able to host guests, too!
