ABOUT ME

After graduating from university a couple of years ago my boyfriend, Gaz, and I have been saving to travel the world, and today's the day - well almost. We set sail for Central America on 1st November, stopping in LA and then hitting Belize with a view to travel down through Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and into Columbia.

We're looking to meet inspiring and interesting folk along the way, local knowledge is paramount to us so we can really enjoy the country for what it is. We're very open minded and would love to hear suggestions from anyone willing to spend the time talking to us :)

Living back in Leeds I was working in online marketing as a social media specialist in the music industry, working with DJ, producers, bands and record labels. Music is a massive part of our lives, we especially love reggae and dub, all kinds of electronic music inc. techno, house and d'n'b, but we also love a good 'ol sign along to an acoustic guitar.

Gaz was working as a project manager in the recycling industry and has a huge interest in sustainability. So what's the dream...settle in Oz and build a self-sustainable farm, wind turbines, veg patches... you get the idea.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have made a very good friend through couchsurfing as he was kind enough to take me under his wing whilst in Atlanta, years later we are still in contact and he has sampled the delights of the UK with me as well. However my hosting has been fairly limited due to our living circumstance, previously living in shared city centre flats. We hope that couchsurfing will play a big part in our travels over the next year and will enrich our experience.
